I am a visual artist currently working with materials such as oil, raw objects and installation to explore themes of contemporary aesthetics - through form, space and structure. My influences and motivations are expressed through my tactile input — continuously triggered by the natural environment of where I am from and where I’ve been.
To sum it up: I create both spacious land/seascape paintings, while also constructing aesthetically driven installations, from gathered to manufactured materials.
My art practice is currently a response of emotional content. Feelings of isolation, solitude, and quiet pervade throughout my work. I am not concerned on solely composing what’s in front of me, but rather figuring out ways to evoke the curiosity of relationships to place and form.
