The Comfort Collection
This body of work is a collection of comfort through tension, by focusing on the nuances of form, space, structure, and material. These works are known as my sculptural paintings, each composed as a traditional painting through canvas, timber, and presentation, while being disrupted by folds and natural objects. This collaboration creates a quiet composition while embodying a moment of anxious ambience. My intention is to demystify the conversation of a painter, and instead sit and live with the physicality of the painting.
